 Patrick Nix 

Nix played high school football at Etowah High School. He then attended Auburn University, where he was a standout quarterback for the Auburn Tigers. He came in for an injured Stan White against Alabama to help lead the Tigers to a perfect 11�0 record during his sophomore season in 1993.

In 1996 he served as an assistant coach at Jacksonville State for three seasons. Nix served as the head football coach at Henderson State University from 1999 to 2000, compiling a record of 3�19. Then in 2001 he was the wide receiver coach at Samford.

Nix joined the coaching staff at Georgia Tech in 2001. Nix was the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator during his first year. In 2003, he served as quarterbacks coach and running game coordinator. In 2004, he was elevated to offensive coordinator while continuing on as quarterbacks coach.

Coach Nix was hired by Miami in 2007 to serve as offensive coordinator. In July 2010, Nix was hired as the wide receivers coach for Charleston Southern where he stayed for three seasons.

He returned to Alabama and the high school coaching ranks at Scottsboro for four seasons beginning in 2013. His teams finished 28-18 and reached the playoffs at the end of each season.

Nix moved to Pinson Valley in 2017 for three seasons and won state championships in each of his first two seasons. His record at Pinson Valley was 38-4 and 13-1 in the playoffs.

In 2020, Nix became the Head coach at Central Phenix City. His 2023 team won the class 7A state championship with a 21-19 victory over Thompson in the title game.
